Chris Fillios, Realtor®,   Associate Broker

Chris grew up in New York City (Brooklyn).  He and Linda  - his wife - are of Greek descent, and speak the Greek language – albeit conversational.


Chris spent 27 years in NYC, where he earned a Bachelor Degree from the City College of New York, and a Master’s Degree in international politics from New York University.  His career began in the early 1970’s and he worked in high tech and telecommunications for AT&T, Rockwell-Collins, and Digital Equipment Corp. before moving into the real estate industry.  In 1990, Chris published Cutting Through The Mortgage Jungle. He also served in the New York Army National Guard from 1970-1975, in field artillery.


Linda and Chris have been married 48 years; they lived 20 years in southern New Hampshire where they raised their two children – Dr. Melanie Fillios, an archeologist in Australia, and Eugene, a film editor in Portland. They have two grandchildren.  Linda is an independent residential appraiser, and REALTOR.


Linda and Chris moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2000.  Chris joined the Credit Services Bureau in Spokane as their corporate sales manager until mid-2004.  Since 2007 and until assuming his current elected position, he was a REALTOR, and residential appraiser.  He taught the Valuation and Analysis class for aspiring broker licensees for several years before his election as County Commissioner.  Chris also hold a broker license.


In May 2011, Chris was elected to the East Side Highway District (ESHD) Board of Commissioners, and was re-elected in May 2015, for another four-year term.  In May 2016, he was elected to serve as your District 2 County Commissioner for a four-year term ending in 2020.  He was re-elected for a two-year term ending in 2022.


Chris's passion remains selling real estate and he hopes to continue serving clients as he is able, and when his current term expires.
